Obituary of Edna Mae Freeman

Dansville – Edna Mae Freeman age 99, passed away early Monday May 9, 2022, at the Livingston County CFNR in Mt. Morris where she had been a resident for the past several years. She was born in the Town of Sparta on August 23, 1922, a daughter of the late Guy and Jessie (Hartman) Smith. On December 12, 1942, she was married to Gerald F. Freeman, who predeceased her on February 24, 1989. She was also predeceased by two sisters Irene and Louise Holbrook. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Dansville. She was a retired secretary from Dansville Central School. She was loved by everyone she met, especially her caregivers at the nursing home. She is survived by four sons, Gerald (Linda) Freeman, Gary (Jill) Freeman, Raymond (Nancy) Freeman, and Edward (Marsha) Freeman, twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and a nephew Guy Holbrook. Friends may call from 12:00pm to 2:00pm Friday May 13, 2022 at the Hindle Funeral Home Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, followed by a graveside service in Greenmount Cemetery Dansville.
