Obituary of David Richard Applin

Dansville- David R. Applin age 78, passed away at home late Monday evening June 6, 2022, after an extended illness. He was born in Dansville on April 26, 1944, the only child of William and Betty (Greenman) Applin. Dave was a hardworking man and a wonderful provider. His life was filled with many years of farming and truck driving. He had a great "gift for gab" and couldn't go anywhere without seeing someone he knew. He worked for many trucking companies and owned his own truck for many years. He retired from Covered Wagon Train based in Hornell, NY in 2010. He is survived by his loving companion Alice Button, two daughters, Bonnie (Tom) Snyder and Barb (Doug) Bernard, Alice's children Steve (Penny) Button and Tara Button, grandchildren, Matthew (Amanda) McKinney, Michael (Jillian) McKinney, Matthew (Erica) Snyder, Stephanie (Scott) Johnson, Marissa Bernard, Kaylee Bernard, Brittany (Devon) Lunn, Amanda Button Colin Button and Ashlynn Truesdell, great grandchildren, Teghan, Tenley, Carlin, Jonah and Madden McKinney, Alyssa Snyder, Hunter Kendall, Cora Johnson, Blair and Levi Lunn. A graveside service in Greenlawn Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville.
