I have so many memories of Mr.Harris from having him as a teacher, to working with him later in life at the school. As tough as he was, he had the biggest heart and I have very fond memories of our conversations and time spent. My family has fond memories of Mr.Harris as well, and he will be missed. Prayers to all of you as you go through this difficult time.

Mr. Harris was a tough old-school teacher who only wanted the best for you. He touched many lives including mine. I will never forget the man he was and what he did for others. He will be missed by all. His family is in our thoughts and prayers at this tough time.

Mr Harris as I always called him until he would correct me as he always did ,was always held in high esteem by me. I had him in 9th grade Algebra, well I got sick with Mononucleosis, at the time I probably was carrying an 82 average it was around Thanksgiving.Mr Harris showed up at my house unexpectedly with my weeks homework after I'd missed the first of 8 weeks and sat with me for 2 hrs. On HIS TIME so a student wouldn't fall behind! He tutored me every Wednesday until I came back to school on his dime! I told him I didn't know how to repay him ,he said get a 100 on the final and we are even ,Well I did get 100 but I still owe him so much more ,Dansville Lost an Icon Rest Well Mr Harris from Mike Wilcox Class of 74

Clay and Mary Harris . . . the power couple of the 70's (and ever after)!! We had so many good times together - faculty parties, impromtu dinners (or lunches or breakfasts!). Two things I remember quite vividly. First, I had let my financial situation go by the by, so I asked Clay for help. He very kindly called me an idiot and proceeded to straighten out my "books". Secondly, there was a huge blizzard (1971?) and, of course, no school. So I decided to visit my friends, the Harrises, on the hill in my 69 Mustang Convertible. Needless to say that did not go well. I became stuck - no buried - in a snow bank and made my way in waist deep snow up the road toward their driveway. As I reached the bottom of the drive, Clay came out on the back porch and yelled at the top of his lungs "You dumb @*%# "!!!!! I spent the night and Mary made cinnamon rolls for breakfast. I fondly keep these memories, along with so many others. He was a great teacher, a good guy and a wonderful friend to a young, "naive", teacher.
