I just heard of Dave's passing. He, his wife, and her mom are great. I often called Dave for advice. A few years back I had a heart attack. My work only gave me three weeks to recover. With staff cuts I worked 62 hours, got paid for 40, and worked alone mostly. Dave and Roy would come over, talk old times and bikes and help close. Many years ago he, my cousins Anthony and David and others were riding their Harleys near Avon's Rochester Street cemetery. A woman in a red "mom van" swerved into them as she took a wide turn. Dave Cottone hit the curb and went into the iron fence. You can still see the bend! Dave ran to Dave Cottone and covered the hole in his chest with his hand stopping the bleeding while someone went for help. I was in the passenger seat of Alan Skaggs' 1966 Mustang fastback, we were right behind the bikes. I was 15 at the time. Dave heroically saved a life that day. Chuck Cottone
