A decade or so ago I heard Bill refer to one of his spiritual brothers as a “beautiful spiritual man”. It was such a uniquely lovely way to refer to a friend that I adopted it as part of my vocabulary and in my friend group, we use the acronym “BSM” to refer to a particularly spiritual person. I think of Bill every time someone uses it.

I don’t think I ever got to shake the hand of Bill Molyneux because every time I went in for the handshake it was as though he didn’t even see my hand and refused to accept anything other than a hug; and not just a quick hug, it was a “real” hug. I never left Bill’s presence feeling anything other than happier than before I saw him.

How can one truly express what an absolutely indeed up person Bill Molyneux was? He was the most kind, generous and selfless man I’ve ever met. Bill truly made the world a better place and he impacted so many of us along the way. I like to think I am a better person for having known Bill and hope to always remember all that he stood for. You didn’t have to know him long to see that he loved Jehovah, his beloved wife, and his congregation that was like family to him. Not many people will literally give you the shirt off their backs, but Bill definitely would. He filled up our gas tanks, fix our gutters while refusing pay, and was always there in times of distress. I am counting the minutes until we can meet again. Love and condolences to the family.

Bill, or Billy as I knew him, and I grew up together as cousins and neighbors. We had wonderful times together. Summer weekends were often spent with our families at our grandparent’s cottage on Conesus Lake, swimming, water skiing, and sailing. We hiked East Hill, rode ponies, attended Camp Rushford, and had an early life that, as I look back, was like a dream. I never knew anyone nicer than Billy. There is no one more qualified and deserving of heaven than William Molyneux. Enjoy your next life.

In the passing of Bill, we lose a beacon of kindness and gentleness, one who manifestly displayed selflessness throughout his life. His generosity with his time was a testament to his inherent spirit of service. His love deeply reached many, nurturing an indelible bond as a spiritual brother. The void he leaves will be acutely felt by all familiar with his warm soul.

To the loved ones of William Molyneux:
Although we did not have the privilege of knowing Brother Molyneux in this system, we sincerely hope to meet him under far better conditions to exist in paradise. (Rev. 21:4) We pray that Jehovah’s promises, which we know cannot fail, will support and strengthen each of you until reunited with him in the not-too-distant future. (Job 14:14,15; John 5:28,29 (a)).
With all of our love and heartfelt prayers,
The Guillory Family
