Jim was a wonderful neighbor for decades. I watched his son grow up and now his grandson. Two amazing young men with Jim's mechanical skills, able to fix anything, and with his love of tools and machines, nature, and deer hunting. Jim was always there for me if I needed help. My Mother purchased the property south of Jim's in the early 60's to lure me back to N.Y. State. When I came off Active Duty in 1966, her brothers helped me build a cabin next to the creek. Since then I have stopped to visit at the shop hundreds of times, whenever the door was open . I was always welcomed: first by Jim, then by Will, and now by Quinn. It is fantastic to see Quinn inherit the generations of mechanical skills and he has shown me the biggest buck of the three hunters! As I fall apart with old age and Quinn has helped me harvest trees and drag deer I see his Grandfather in him. Three generations of an amazing family!
Farewell old friend, you live on in Will and Quinn who carry on with your charm and values. They let me continue to work on our beloved hillside. They continue your clever inventions. The shop continues to be a place for friends and neighbors to be warmly welcomed and helped. You were blessed with Will and Quinn who carry on your legacy. My shop up here on my home farm will go dark when I join you. Please grant them the big bucks that my Uncles have granted me from that grant hunting ground where you have joined them.

I am so sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. My memories of him are few, but he and Jerry always liked teasing me, the younger cousin. One time when I was about 7 or 8, they told me that they put a snake in the bottom drawer of my mother's sewing table. I believed them and stayed away from that table for weeks.
