Obituary of Kenneth A. Sessler

Ossian- Kenneth A. Ken Sessler, age 68, of Denton Rd. in Ossian passed away peacefully at home early Sunday afternoon October 26, 2008, following a long illness. He was born in LaRue, OH on November 24, 1939, a son of the late Odd Versus and Iva Lucille (Bilger) Sessler. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Ortho, Lloyd and Lowell Sessler, Rita Walters, Evelyn Runkles, Alfreda Partchemore, Betty Reeble and Wanda Sessler Ken was a US Navy and US Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Daniel Goho Post # 87 of the American Legion, the Frank J. Casbolt # 1680 VFW Post and the Loyal Order of the Moose Club # 1130 all of Dansville. In his free time he enjoyed riding ATVs, deep sea fishing, spending time with his children and grandchildren and his dogs Bart, Gus and Benson. His greatest pleasure came from spending time on the beach in North Carolina with his wife Sylvia and family. Surviving in addition to his wife Sylvia, is a daughter Dana (Larry) Henry of West Sparta, a son, Matthew (Barbara) Sessler of NC, and twin sons, Nathan (Tara) Sessler of NC and Noel (Keli) Sessler of OH. A brother Richard (Rita) Sessler of OH, and three sisters, Roma (Windy) Sanford, Shirley (Edsel) Sanford both of CT and Donna (Bill) Adams also of OH. Four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. There will be no prior calling hours. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am in St. Marys Roman Catholic Church in Dansville. At Kens request his cremains will be scattered at some of his favorite places. Ref. Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville.
