Dear Colleen & Kevin,
I am so sorry to learn of the passing of your Dad. In 1968 and 1969, before I went into the Coast Guard, I played piano at the Old Madrid with the Tom Wadams trio on Fridays and Saturdays. Like clockwork Bob would show up at 11 PM, stand at the back end of the bar, and put his hand up to get our attention. We would immediately stop playing whatever song we were on and start playing Satin Doll by Duke Ellington. Then the drinks would start to arrive for the rest of the gig. Also, whenever I happened to be back in town up until the time my parents moved to Texas in 1986, I would frequently run into Bob (and Ling) at Brae Burn. I have thought of your Dad frequently over the years and what a good friend he was to me. I can't tell you how much I miss him. May God bless his soul, and yours' and your families'.
