Obituary of Thelma Sutton

Dansville- Thelma Mary Sutton age 83, passed away Wednesday April 8, 2009, at the Livingston County CFNR in Mt. Morris. She was born in West Sparta, NY, on November 10, 1925, a daughter of the late Murray and Mary Muchler Gray. She was also predeceased by her husband Francis and siblings Leonard Gray and Neoma Kennedy. On May 2, 1943, she was married to Francis J. Sutton. Thelma played the organ and led the choir for many years for the United Methodist Church of Dansville. She also played the organ at the area funeral homes, for weddings and many other churches in the area. She is survived by a son, Roger (Jodi) of Dansville, a sister June (Bob) Stettnisch of Cape Coral, FL, a brother in law Neil Kennedy of Greece, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:00am., with Pastor Jamie Stevens officiating Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, West Sparta. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Dansville or Mt. Morris Ambulance Corps.
