Tony was a US Navy veteran serving during WW II. He was a Life Member, Past Commander, Chaplin and longtime member of the Firing Squad at the Daniel Goho Post # 87 of the American Legion in Dansville. He was the Livingston County American Legion Commander in 1961, where he also served as Chaplin. He was a member of the "Forty and Eight". A past member of the Dansville Lions Club, the Loyal Order of the Moose # 1130, the White Sabers' Drum and Bugle Corps., both of Dansville. He was a Communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Mary's Church in Dansville. He also was the crossing guard in front of St. Mary's School for many years. Tony was a machine operator, binder and folder at the former F A Owen Publishing Company, Instructor Publications, and retired from Dansville Press in 1989.He is survived by his dear wife Betty, three daughters, Jane (William) Rowan of Ossian, Sue (Don) Carlini formerly of Dansville, Nancy (Joe) DeVito of Dansville, two sons, Pete (Leslie) Amico of Wayland, and Daniel Amico of Dansville, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Church in Dansville. Interment with full military honors will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Dansville American Legion, 34 Elizabeth St., Dansville, NY 14437.
