As member of a scholarship committee that interviewed Katie I was impressed by just how much she loved what she did. She was a confident young lady who knew where she wanted to go in life. She was a great role model for young people everywhere.

For several years I was a neighbor across the street from the Stanleys. I went to school with both Jesse and Jay.
I remember Kate best as a little girl. She was always so happy and full of joy, always laughing and smiling. I spent many summer days at the Stanley house swimming, jumping on the trampoline and just running all over the yard. Little Katie and Stacey were never far behind wanting to do what the "big kids" were doing.
There are never the right words to express how deeply sad I am that you have to endure this loss. Katie will be truly missed by everyone who knew her no matter where they crossed her path in life.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Jim, Tanya, Jesse, Jay, Jerry, Martha and the rest of the family.

I remember the 2008 fall semester when a bunch of us were decorating the FFA float for the Homecoming/Mustang Weekend parade at Morrisville, it was cold out and we were coloring poster boards with the 'smelly' kind of markers. I believe the group consisted of Nicole, Heather, Adam, Kenny, I can't remember if Kasey was there or not...but we had so much fun messing around with 'stolen' cornstalks from the college field, zip ties, Nicole with her knife, and then Heather and Katie with their stinky markers - It had been a long time since I had had so much fun while working... Katie you were one of the sweetest people I have met and it is a tragedy that you were taken from us so early in your life - you showed great potential and you knew what you wanted and you worked extremely hard to get to those points. Although I wish you could still be walking around Marshall Hall at college, playing volleyball with us crazy dairy kids at gym night, washing cows at the sale, so many times your smile brightened up the day - now all we have left are the GREAT memories accomplished - but I know that I have one more angel watching over me every day - and I can't imagine a better angel than you, Katie - Rest In Peace kiddo

Katie, Kater Tater, Kate - no matter the name, she will always hold a special place in my heart. Katie was one of my very best friends, and we've had so many memories together at BOCES in Mount Morris in Animal Science; our water fights, cleaning the barns, picking on Tim, and our trip to Hershey Pennsylvania and staying in the hotel with Ashley and that other girl. It's so hard to believe she's gone; it's almost surreal. I'm so very sorry for the loss of your daughter. Believe me when I say, I know how you feel, because I loved Katie like a sister, albeit I didn't see her much. She will always be in my prayers, as will her family. I'm going to miss her dearly d she will never, ever be forgotten. I love you, Katie. I'll always remember you and the fun we had. Rest in Peace, my dear, beloved friend.

I remember when Katie was growing up, I work with her Aunt and Karen would always bring Katie and Baby sister Stacy to work when she was in town....Oh how proud Katie was of her little sister. Katie was just the sweetest thing you would ever want to meet always bubbly and smiling. We used to go camping in Katies parents camper and Katie and her sister would come up and we would try and teach them the latest craziest dances and she would just laugh and try. Then we tried the Limbo omg how funny but she did it!!!! Just a few memories to pass on so other people that did not know Katie can get an idea of what kind of person she really was....Loving, caring, family orientated and just an all out beautiful person.
Tanya, Jim, Stacy,Scott,Jessie,Jay Karen,Tiff, Martha & Gerald my prayers are with you all and with Katie, just know that she is always in your hearts and she will never ever be forgotten....
