Obituary of Thelma B. DePuy

Dansville- Thelma H. DePuy age 84, passed away early Friday evening February 5, 2010, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. She was born in Dansville, on December 20, 1925, a daughter of the late Waldo and Helen (Smith) Hoag. She was also predeceased by her siblings Henrietta Sylor, Pearl Bricks, George and DeMerle Hoag. In 1948 she was married to David "Red" DePuy, who survives. Thelma was a cashier at the former Grand Union and Star Markets in Dansville. In her earlier years she enjoyed riding and taking care of horses. Surviving in addition to her husband Red, are her children Tom DePuy of Ossian and Karen (Steve) Williams of Dansville. Two sisters, Wilma Yohon of Rochester and Elaine (John) Gilbert of Pine Valley. Two sister's in-law Dorothe and Kay Hoag of Dansville, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where a memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. David Hotchkiss officiating.
