Obituary of David E. DePuy

He was born in Dansville on September 4, 1925, a son of the late Roland and Elizabeth (Eaton) DePuy. He was also predeceased by his wife Thelma Hoag DePuy on February 5, 2010, and siblings, Nancy Kramer, Mary Weidman, James, Tony and Dr. Peter DePuy. Dave was a Union Carpenter with Local # 185 Carpenter's Union in Rochester for over forty-five years. He was a life member of the Dansville Fish and Game Club where he served on the Board of Director's and was a former Vice President. He was a WW II US Marine Corps veteran and member of the Daniel Goho Post # 87 of the American Legion. In his free time he enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and the "Coffee Club" at McDonalds in Dansville. He is survived by his children, Tom DePuy of Ossian and Karen (Steve) Williams of Dansville. Four grandchildren, Amy Earner, Matt (Tammy) Williams, Lindsay DePuy and Rachele (Kevin) Sick, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Anne (Dean) Cochran of CO and Margaret (Donald) Nice of Dansville. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., in Dansville, where services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev.
