Obituary of Winifred Mastin

Groveland - Winifred D. (Holbert) Mastin, age 78, passed away peacefully on Friday October 15, 2010, after a long illness. She was born on January 17, 1932, in Dansville, a daughter of Roy and Eva Burns Holbert. She married Arthur Mastin, who survives, on October 18, 1952. She was predeceased by her parents, and siblings, Lee Holbert, Ruth Oswald, Emma Holbert, Ray Holbert, Eva Mae Barber, Lena Austin, Onolee Wilcox and Lenora Mastin. Before retirement she was employed by Foster Wheeler Corporation and F.A. Owen Publication Company and Instructor Publications, all former Dansville area businesses. She enjoyed Bingo, playing cards, bowling on several leagues, crocheting and providing daycare. In addition to her husband, Arthur, she is survived by sons; Gene (Cheryl) Mastin of Hornell, Brian (Mary) Mastin of Dansville, daughters; Cindy (Charles) Fladie of Silver Springs and Brenda (Stephen) Kosman of Rochester, five granddaughters; Niclole Mastin, Julie and Stacie Mastin, Jessica Price and Brittany Fladie, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Hindle Funeral Hoem, Inc., 271 Main St., Inc. Dansville, where services will be held Monday at 11:00am, with the Rev. David Hotchkiss officiating.
