I had the pleasure of getting to know Peter through the Humane Society.
When the Society was at a crossroads of being dismantled, Peter was instrumental in keeping it going and bringing with him a take charge attitude but combined with a delightful since of humor.
The world was enriched by his presence, he will be missed

I will always carry the fond memories of the times I spent with Pete and Linda as a child. You may be gone Pete, but we will never forget your quick wit and amazing heart.

Hi Linda,
Pete will be missed by all. He did so many things in his life. His service as a police officer, firefighter and his devotion to animals. I liked going to work out with Pete and talk with him on the occassions I was able to come home. Pete is in a better place now and would want you to enjoy your life. Peters memory will live on forever and will not be forgotten. Just as you must live on and be happy for the time that was spent with him. You and my mom should go on a trip sometime.. We all love you.

I was sad to see in the D&C the death of my cousin, Pete. I have many memories of our childhood. Our fathers came from a large family. As children we saw each other often. We didn't have alot of money but Pete was always telling us jokes to make us laugh.
Please accept my sympathy and hold on to your memories.

Linda, I am so sad to hear of Peter's passing. He was very kind to me and I know he was a great husband too. He will be missed. May God give you the strength and love to get through this time, as I know that losing such a cherished loved one is not easy, and it will take some time before it does not hurt so much. Your friend, Ed Dodd

I will always remember Peter for his sense of humor (so funny) his thoughtfulness, his generosity and kindness. He was always there if you needed him to help. I remember when he came down in his new John Deere and mowed my pasture for me and when Pete and Linda helped me move stone into the barn and it was hard work. I also remember when he brought me some wine in a jar when I was mowing so I could have it while I mowed. We also have the Peter tree in the front yard which I always think of Pete when I look at it.
He was so good to Linda, what a husband he was to her. Always thinking of her first and always bringing her treats from town and remembered on every single holiday, birthday and anniversary. He loved animals so much too. We can't believe he is gone and he went way too soon. Not fair I think. We will really miss him.

We visited Linda and Peter a couple of years ago and had a great time. His sense of humor was phenomenal. He had never met us and made us feel right at home. You can tell that Pete left his mark on everyone he met...and it was a good mark.

Sparta has lost a very good guy. I didn't know Pete well, except through the fire department gatherings. On the occasions that my husband and I would see Pete at Tops, it was always a pleasure. He always had a good word to say and never would he walk by and not stop to chat. I have missed him in the past couple of years as he always brightened up the day with his chatter when we met. My sincerest smypathies go out to his wife and family. He was a great guy and will be missed.

I could have been a better sport when it came to playing Euchre. After all, Pete taught me how to play, then Linda and I would beat him and his partner. He took it well.
I will always remember his love for his wife, pets, motorcycles and life! Thanks, Pete, for being my friend!
