I worked for Justine and Bob for almost 20 yrs. They were the most considerate people I have ever worked for. Very caring and understanding. Bob was very giving of his time in flying customers to High Point or helping others getting to a destination that they otherwise wouldn't be able to travel to. Bob made sure everyone was doing their jobs the way it should be done. My children and myself always will remember his saying, "any job big or small, do it right or not at all". I still say it to myself as I have a small business now. I will always remember his great smile and our wonderful parties that we had. MBI will always be a great company because the greatest people created it. Bob and Justine put their heart and soul into many years of making sure it was a success. God Bless You Bob!! You and Justine will never be forgotten!!!

I worked for Matthews Buses for roughly twenty years as a bus salesman. During those years I had many, many enjoyable and exciting trips back and forth to North Carolina with Bob and our customers. We landed in Saratoga once not knowing whether we had a landing gear or not, but Bob kept his cool (like he always did) and just puffed on his pipe like this was something he did every day. No one else in the plane was quite as calm. We landed with no problem. I certainly enjoyed my years working for the Matthews Family - and Bob and Justine were a big part of that enjoyment. Bob touched so many people during his lifetime and he will be greatly missed. If God has an airport in Heaven, I'm sure Bob will be in charge of it. Rest in peace Bob and God bless.
