Obituary of Josephine Pearl Gross

She was born in Venago County, Pennsylvania, on August 24, 1923, a daughter of the late Fred and Rosie (Alvord) Hartzell. She was also predeceased by her husband Frank Gross, two sons Roy and Charles Gross, her twin brother, Joseph Hartzell and brother Harold Alvord. Josephine was employed as an assembly worker at Kraft General Foods in Avon for over thirty years retiring in 1989. In her free time she enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her son, Frank (Bonnie) Gross of Wayland, a daughter, Patricia (Dennis) Lowery of Knowlesville, NY; three sisters, Tela (Ronnie) Rauber of Wayland, Wannita Holbrook of Seneca Castle, NY and Carolyn Reid of TX; twelve grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held on Saturday at 11:00am with her brother in-law Ronnie Rauber officiating.
