My nana told me when I am sad or lownly for her to put my arms around myself and squeeze and it was just like my mom giving me a hug. Your dad was real cool to. I met Kathy the day we moved into Francis Sept. 1977 at St. Bonaventure University. I have so many wonderful memories of times shared all four years. Kathy danced at my wedding and I at hers. She was kind, smart, and a gentle soul. May Kathy and Joe be at peace and may Matthew know how much he was loved by his parents. I will never forget you Kathy....Love, Benson

Kathy was one of my closest and dearest friends. Talking with her was like talking to a sister. She always had or made the time for anyone or anything. Loosing her is like loosing a part of myself. I use to tell her all the time that there will be a special place for her in heaven do to her being so special, I just never thought it would be so soon. She is and always will be loved and missed.

I met Kathy while we served on the Board of Thomas Marks Elementary School PTA 6 years ago. She invited all of the board members to her home overlooking Lake Ontario to plan the school year. I was struck by graciousness and lack of pretension as the Board Members and all of their children descended upon her home and enjoyed her pool.
Later we kept our acquaintence as she preparred my taxes, sitting in my kitchen every March. I admired that she never gossiped. Kathy mostly talked about Matthew and we bonded over the love we shared for our children.
Kathy told me on more than one ocassion that she hoped to keep healthy because she wanted to see Matthew grow up. She worried her COPD would take her early and she seemed so relieved when she had the indoor pool added to her home so that she could exercise year round. That, she thought, would extend her life and allow her to at least see Matthew graduate from High School.
Matthew, you were the light of your Mother's life. I pray that you transcend this tragedy and continue to bring her and your Father joy and pride as they look down on you from the heavens.

Now you can be with your mom and dad and Renee and make up for all the lost time. I know that you will always be with Matthew watching over him and guiding him - you are absolutely a GREAT mother!
