Obituary of Dorothe E. Hoag

Dansville- Dorothe E. Hoag age 87, passed away early Thursday morning October 6, 2011 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, following a brief illness. She was born in Dansville on July 20, 1924, a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Malarkey) LaForce. On February 13, 1943, she was married to George W. Hoag who predeceased her on January 17, 2006. She was also predeceased by her siblings Peter LaForce and Delores Newton. Dorothe was a communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Mary's Church in Dansville. She was a daycare provider in her home for thirty five years. She was very talented in making crafts, arranging flowers, and made the best chocolate cookies around. She is survived by her children, Enos "Bud" (Chris) Gee, Barbara Hoag, Deborah (Bill) Quinlan, Dan (Gail) Hoag, Michael (Susan) Hoag, John (Kelly) Hoag, all of Dansville, Sharon (Steve) Vogel of Rochester and Dennis Hoag of NC, a brother Robert LaForce of Dansville, fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Today from 3:00 to 8:00pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 1:00 pm at St. Mary's Church in Dansville. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville.
