MAITLAND, F.L./DANSVILLE - Robert A. Sherman, of Maitland, F.L., formerly of Dansville, N.Y., died Friday, January 27, 2012 at age 69 years.
He was born in Rochester, N.Y., March 9, 1942, the son of Robert B. Sherman and Rose E. Stagles. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962. During his years in Dansville, he was employed by the Dansville Press, he was chairman and director of Livingston County's Junior Miss Program for several years, and sound manager for several community productions.
He is survived by his children: Kimberley (Chris) Martello of Linwood, Dawn Sherman of Altamonte Springs, F.L., and Heather (Timothy) Beach of Henderson, N.V.; and two granddaughters.
Friends may call Wednesday, February 15 at Hindle Funeral Home Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Calling hours are 10 A.M. - 12 P.M., with funeral service following. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rochester, N.Y. Online remembrances can be left at HindleFuneralHome.com
