Obituary of William C. Byrnes Jr.

Dansville- William C. "Bill" Byrnes Jr., age 74, passed away Tuesday afternoon May 15, 2012, at the Vincent House in Wayland. He was born in Buffalo on March 16, 1938, a son of the late Dr. William C. and Helen (Naylon) Byrnes Sr. On July 30, 1960, he was married to the love of his life Jacquelyn Moore Byrnes, who predeceased him on December 28, 1990. He was also predeceased by a brother Kevin Byrnes. Bill was the General Manager for Main Tire Exchange in Dansville retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St., Mary's Church in Dansville. A former member of the Noyes Memorial Hospital Board of Directors and was active with the Vince Lombardi Youth Football League in Dansville. He was also active with following his grandchildren playing sports. In his free time he was a fan of Notre Dame Football. He is survived by his dear children, Kellee (David) Hoag, Molly (Kent) Koch both of Dansville, William C. (Jean Welch) Byrnes, III of Syracuse, Patrick Byrnes of GA, Carrie (Mark) Colwell of NC. Brother of Joan Denzak of Buffalo, Phyllis (Dr. Eric) Barth of MN and Brian (Kathy) Byrnes of IL, seventeen grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday from 4-8 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., in Dansville, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00am at St. Mary's Church in Dansville.
