Obituary of Kathryn L. Hynes

Sparta- Kathryn L. Hynes age 87, passed away Tuesday evening July 24, 2012, at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris where she had been a resident for the past several years. She was born in Springwater on February 1, 1925, a daughter of the late George and Helen May (Schwingle) Wolfanger. On November 1, 1941, she was married to Morris Hynes who predeceased her on June 29, 2007. She was also predeceased by her siblings Jeanene Gilbert, Helen Lown, Doris Losey and George Wolfanger Jr. Kathryn was a telephone operator for Rochester Telephone. She was a member of the Sparta Center United Methodist Woman's Group. In her free time she enjoyed baking, doing crafts, playing the organ and the accordion. She is survived by her children, Roy (Marilyn) Hynes of Cohocton, Kenneth (Eileen) Hynes and Deborah (Jerry) Jackson both of Dansville, a brother Donald Wolfanger of TN, nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, two sisters in-law Evelyn Dye and Daphne Hynes. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held at the completion of calling hours.
