Groveland- on February 4, 2014 at age 88. WWII US Navy veteran and retired GM employee. Predeceased by a son Thomas Cooper and parents Frederick and Sarah Swartout Cooper. He leaves his wife, Mary Hird Cooper; children, Nancy (Thomas) Wilson and Judith Cooper; grandchildren, Emily and Elizabeth Wilson and Ramona Kingsley, a sister Patricia Brandt.
Calling hours Saturday at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon where a funeral service will follow at noon. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Scottsburg. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SPCA, serving Erie County, 205 Ensiminger Rd., Tonawanda, NY 14150.
