Obituary of Warren Richard Strobel

Dalton- Warren Richard Strobel age 74, of Dalton passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday August 7, 2012, in the Emergency Room at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. He was born in Dansville on July 18, 1938, a son of the late Wilson and Charlotte (Jackson) Strobel. On February 8, 1997, in Nunda he was married to Patricia (Ellsworth) Emke Strobel who survives. Warren was a mechanic for the Groveland Correctional facility for many years retiring in 1993. He had also worked at the Nunda Bus Garage as a mechanic, and the former Foster Wheeler Energy Corp. in Dansville. Surviving in addition to his wife Pat, is his children, Vicky Aubert of Warsaw, Peggy (Robert) Ellsworth of Hunt, Penny (Bill) Forrest of FL, Michael (Linda) Strobel of Mt. Morris, Daniel (Jodi) Strobel of Dalton, step-children, David (Christine) Emke of NC, Brian (Julie) Emke of Nunda, Margaret (Santos) Pagan of Castile, three brothers, Lowell (Tina) Strobel, Bill (Chris) Strobel and Rodney Strobel all of Union Corners, three sisters, Norma Jean Wilkins of Almond, Linda Burgett of Nunda and Diane (Bill) Lockwood of Almond, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the convenience of the family in Union Cemetery, Dalton. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville.
