Dansville- Loretta Clara Daniels age 89, passed away Saturday morning January 24, 2015, at McAuley Manor in Hornell, where she had been resident for the past six months.
She was born in Dansville on September 8, 1925, a daughter of the late Henry and Clara (Martens) Van Durme. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Beverly Long, siblings, Mary Hurlburt, Alice Sullivan, Margaret Karns, Raymond, John, Louis, and Nicholas Van Durme.
Loretta was a communicant of the Holy Family Parish at St. Mary's Church while living in Dansville.
She is survived by her son, Alan (Jean) Daniels of Gordonville, PA; three brothers, Richard Van Durme, Larry Van Durme and Philip (Jean) Van Durme all of Dansville, seven grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial has been postponed. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
In lieu of flowers please make memorials to St. Mary's Church, or Catholic Charities in memory of Loretta.
