Dansville- Esther J. Cobb age 86, of West Sparta passed away early Tuesday afternoon at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
She was born in Dansville on May 23, 1928, a daughter of Harold Kellogg and Mildred Bradley. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother Ivan Kellogg and her husband George Cobb whom she married in 1958.
Esther worked as a Registered Nurse for the Craig development center in Sonyea New York. In her free time she enjoyed writing stories, she belonged to a writers group and even had a number of pen pals.
She is survived by her Sister Lorena(Karl) Bennett, a brother Murray(Sue) Kellogg, a sister in law Nancy Kellogg, nephew Damon(Terry) Wilkins, niece Dorinda(Randy) Bennett, nephew Devin Wilkins, nephew Daniel(Chelsea) Wilkins, nephew Michael Kellogg, nephew Louis Kellogg, niece Michelle(Anthony) Selvaggio, nephew Troy(Sharon) Kellogg. Several great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville where a funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
