Obituary of Jane Boyd

Dansville- Jane Boyd, age 87, passed away Sunday evening April 21, 2013, at the Livingston County CNR in Mt. Morris where she had been a resident for the past few years. She was born in Dansville, on February 19, 1926, a daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha Smith (Zimmer). On October 1, 1949, she was married to Donald Boyd who survives. She was predeceased by two brothers. She was an active member of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Mary's Church including service with the Rosary and Altar Society. She was very involved with politics, becoming a Village of Dansville Trustee, and was secretary for the Workers Compensation and Planning Boards. Jane was a good cook and made a comfortable home for Don and their three children. Surviving in addition to her husband Don, are a son Ronald (Mary Kate) Boyd of Newark; two daughters, Mary Lynn (Gregory) Kuebler of Huntly ,VA, Linda Boyd and her dear friend Richard Neal of Buffalo. Four grandchildren Meghan (Thomas) Kelly, Colleen Boyd, Kathryn (Nicholas) Drogo, and Gregory B. Kuebler, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday from 3:00 - 7:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday 11:00 am at the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Dansville Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
