Obituary of David P. Dupont

Dansville- David P. Dupont age 64, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning July 3, 2015, in the Emergency Room at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, after being stricken at home. He was born in Hornell on September 26, 1950, a son of the late John and Marjorie (Pierce) Dupont. On July 28, 1978, he was married to the former Debra Gessner Dupont, who survives. Dave was a true outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting with his wife, family and friends. He was a member and current treasurer at the Dansville Fish and Game Club, which he visited every day. He was a member of the Panther Mountain Hunting Club, Quality Deer Management, Duck's Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, the NRA, and National Wild Turkey Federation. Dave was a graduate of Hornell High and Alfred University and Tech. He was retired from the Federal Government USDA NRCS as a conservationist based out of Bath. In recent years he had his own conservationist consulting business Conservation Consultants from which he operated from home. He was a US Army veteran serving from 1970 to 1978. He is survived by his dear wife, Debra, a daughter, Erin (Kyle) Cloutier of MA, a son, Jon (Heather) Dupont of PA, three grandchildren, Bradley and Katelyn Dupont and Chase David Cloutier, two sisters, Ann Johnston of Poland, NY and Betsy Dupont of Hornell, a brother, John Dupont of Fremont, several nieces, nephews and many friends. Friends may call Friday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Dansville Fish and Game Club. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
