Obituary of Theresa Howe Kenney

Dansville- Theresa A. Kenney age 87, passed away early Tuesday morning May 24, 2016, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born in Dansville on December 30, 1928, a daughter of the late Otto William and Laura (Searles) Howe. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Violet Teeter, Laura Robinson, William and Laurance Howe. Theresa was a former school bus driver for the Geneseo central School District and a therapy aid at the former Craig Colony at SONYEA. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Dansville. A member and Past Matron, Noble Grand and Angel of the Stony Brook Rebecca Lodge of Dansville. Theresa and her daughter were members of the Livonia Senior Citizens Group. She was also a member of the Woman of the Moose of Dansville. In her free time she enjoyed going to the casino, knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed spending time visiting with family and friends. She is survived by her children, Otto (Susan) Kenney of Geneseo, Deborah (Robert) Jacobs of Nunda and Charles (Joanne) Kenney of Dansville, siblings June (Warren) Collier, Charles (Betty) Howe, sister in-laws Kay Howe and Priscilla Howe, seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Dansville, where services will be held at the completion of calling hours. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, West Sparta. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville.
