Obituary of Howard Charles Snyder

Livonia- Howard Charles Snyder age 85, passed away late Tuesday October 5, 2016 at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home. He was born in Nunda, NY on September 29, 1931, a son of the late George and Mable (Teeter) Snyder. He was also predeceased by his wife, Joan Snyder, his children, Teri Young, Scott Snyder, Nora Snyder, grandchildren, Brian and Erik Secker, Jaime Lynn Chapman, siblings, Helen Warring, Evelyn Sellins, George, Merlin, William, Earl, and Ronald Snyder. Howard was a graduate of Nunda High School class of 1949. He enlisted in the US Army from 1952-1954 serving time in Korea, earning the rank of Sergeant. He worked in Rochester doing Apartment Maintenance for the Sermar Management Group. He was a member of the Seager Werner Post 333 American Legion in Nunda NY. In his free time he enjoyed watching old western movies. Howard is survived by his children, Jeffery Snyder of Mt. Morris, Janice Snyder of Livonia, Lisa (David) Gunther of Avon, Wade (Susan) Snyder of Mt. Morris, Kyle Snyder of Dansville, Margaret Snyder of Scottsburg, a sister Myrtle (Stanley) Fronczak of Silver Springs, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday 11:00am at the Hindle Funeral Home Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville NY, 14437. Interment with full Military Honors in Greenmount cemetery following the Memorial service.
