Obituary of John T Kenney

John Theodore Kenney Sr., age 81, passed away Monday evening August 26, 2013, at Highland Hospital in Rochester. Survived by loving wife of 56 years Beverly, his children, John (Pam Miller) Kenney Jr., Mary Jo (Steve) Stokesberry, James (Lisa) Kenney, Kathleen (Michael) Allen, Suzanne (Scott) Durigan, twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Dansville, on July 31, 1932, a son of the late Leith and Pauline (Fox) Kenney. He was also predeceased by a brother Donald Kenney and a sister Arlene Potter. Survived by sister Norma Stapley. On September 8, 1956, he married the love of his life Beverly Jean Gross. John was a quality control technician at Eastman Kodak in Rochester for 35 years. He was a family man, always loved spending time with his wife and children. John was also a member of the Daniel Goho Post #87 of The American Legion of Dansville. Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening.. Friends may call from 4-8 pm on Friday August 30th at the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St. Dansville. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday August 31st at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Geneseo 4 Avon Rd Geneseo.
