Obituary of Charles O. Howe
Dansville- Charles O. "Charlie" Howe age 89, passed away Saturday morning August 5, 2017, at the Conesus Lake Nursing home in Livonia.
Charlie was born in Dansville on February 3, 1928 a son of the late Otto William and Laura (Searles) Howe. On June 11, 1948, he was married to Betty Jean Luce Howe, who predeceased him on February 17, 2017. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Violet Teeter, Laura Robinson, Theresa Kenney, William and Laurance Howe.
Charlie was the maintenance supervisor at the Gunlocke Chair Company in Wayland. For several years following retirement he was a driver for LATS. He and Betty were longtime faithful members at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Dansville.
Surviving Charlie are two daughters; Kathy Howe of Springwater, Marcia Howe of Rochester; a son, James (Shannon Ashley) Howe of Mendon; a sister June Collier, sister in-laws Kay Howe, Priscilla Howe, Nancy Luce, brother in-law a brother Norman (Joyce) Luce; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday August 12 at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Lutheran, 21 Clara Barton St., in Dansville, with the Rev. Virginia Mazzarella officiating. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville. Online memorials may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
