Joyce and my mom, Marj Schirmer worked together in the school cafertia. They had many laughs and good times. Just this summer Joyce was walking by the Convenient store and I stopped and spoke with her.. ofcourse I had to remind her who I was.. but we had a great talk and hug. I will miss seeing her!

Keith and I would visit Joyce from time to time. She was so friendly. Invited us in and gave us some of her recipes. Saw her in church every week and we always nodded if we didn't speak. I am sorry Paul and Joan for your loss.

Joyce was one of those wonderful warm-hearted women who made you feel loved and cared for. She connected with my teen age son when he was challenging me to the limit when I was a working single parent of three boys. Joyce brought out my sons goodness and had him helping move heavy items at the food pantry especially on delivery day. She made him feel cared for. Now he lives and works out of state but asks about her several times a year. I'm sure he will, like myself, keep her in prayer as she goes "home".
