Ossian- Gerald R. Cramer age 69, passed away Wednesday September 11, 2013, at St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell after a long illness.
He was born in the Town of Ossian on February 12, 1944, a son of the late Dillis and Florence (Wampole) Cramer. On November 21, 1965, he was married to Martha (Wood) Cramer , who predeceased him on June 29, 2013. He was also predeceased by a granddaughter Katie Stanley and siblings, June Cramer, Joyce Kelly, Marjorie Skillman, Wilbur and Willard Cramer.
Gerry was a dairy farmer on the farm affectionately known as the "Hub Cap Farm" on NYS State Route 436 in Ossian. He was a former member of the Farm Bureau, the Ossian Grange and the Cohocton Dairy Co-op. Gerry was a quiet man with an interesting sense of humor.
He is survived by three daughters, Tanya (Jim) Stanley, Karen Cramer, and Tiffany Strobel. Grandchildren, Stacey (Joseph) Coburn, Dillis Strobel, Scott, Jesse, and Jay Stanley. Great grandchildren Carter Coburn, Emma and Joshua Stanley, and many nieces and nephews.
Private interment services will be held in Ossian Center Cemetery. All are welcome to attend a luncheon on Saturday at 11:30 am at the Ossian Community Center. Ref Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
