To the family of "Cee Cee" for that is what she was called at the LCCN&R - there are no words to express our deep sadness at learning of your mother's passing. Prior to my mother dying, she and Cee Cee shared a table for meals. Although she was basically quiet, when engaged she was a delightfully wonderful person. She loved her Native American music and jewelry. She disliked wearing pants and preferred a dress. She enjoyed baseball. When upset she could become very insistent and wasn't afraid to speak her mind. We loved her for her gumption and grit. Cee Cee was a blessing and lit up when her "little" people came to visit, as well as her "big" people. It is our hope that you can find comfort in knowing your beloved mother was cherished, not just by each of you, but by others that knew her.

Family, I just want you to know that I truly would like be with you all on Friday. It saddens me that I won't be able to be there. I just want you to know how much I love you all, and how special your Mom has been to me over all of these years. She was always so accepting, nonjudgmental and unconditionally loving. She totally adored all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, all who gave her such joy. And her love of animals is so telling, as well. Basically, she exuded love. My mother used to call me "Chick" so often, and I take that as a total compliment. The closeness of you all is a testament to the love of your parents, and it surely gives comfort knowing that she is rejoicing, reunited with your Dad, Carol and young George, and is no longer suffering in any way. Such a beautiful, special lady! And you all carry on the legacy of your parents so well. It's time like this that living so far away is such a detriment. I really don't feel I have adequately expressed how much your Mom has meant to me. But just know that I will be sharing in the celebration of your Mom this Friday. Suzy, I know that you have researched ancestry a good bit, but if you ever do a write-up on your Mom, I definitely would like to read it. A life well-lived.
much love,
M

Aunt Chick was always a ray of sunshine to our family. She gave love and kindness to everyone she encountered. We were honored to be able to visit with her last October during a trip to NY. Many prayers to her five children and their families. We love you all.
