To Margie Cansdale and family. Our sincere sympathy at the loss of your Dad. Ralph was a good man who served his community, town, and county in countless ways. He was a unique presence and not replaceable in your lives and in the lives of all who knew and loved him. He was a positive presence at many West Sparta Historical Society events and we always appreciated when he was able to attend. Ralph took pride in his farm and I always enjoyed passing the Wolfanger place and noting how well it was maintained. Bob and I know you will miss him deeply. I hope to talk soon. Fondly, Sarah Booher

I first met Ralph when I began working at the HRF (Health Related Facility) in Mt. Morris where he was the administrator. When he learned I was looking for a farm to buy he told me of his neighbor's recent For Sale sign. We have been neighbors for over forty years and neighbors just don't come any better. He had one of those smiles that radiated warmth and friendship from the start. I always valued his opinions and listened to his advice seriously.
I am going to miss Ralph. This community is going to miss him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wonderful family.
