Obituary of Frederick I. Pompili

Dansville- Frederick I. "Fred" Pompili age 87, passed away at home early Friday evening April 17, 2020, after a brief illness.
He was born in Chili, NY on February 6, 1933, a son of the late Isaac and Assanta "Susie" (VanCarry) Pompili. In 1985 he was married to Marlene Glady Pompili, who survives.
Fred and Marlene attended the Dansville Free Methodist. He was a retired baker from Wegmans Supermarkets. Fed and Marlene were also very active in the past with the Salvation Army Kettle Drive in Dansville. He was a US Navy veteran serving during Korea on the USS Holder and the Sierra.
Surviving in addition to his wife Marlene are there children, Fred (Marilyn) Pompili, Phillip (Alita) Pompili, Jenna Toughy, and Phillip (Wendy) Howell. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
