To the family of Pete Conklin...you are in my thoughts and prayers
Sorry to hear the passing of Pete.
What a terrific athlete he was. He had a cannon for an arm.
He could toss a football nearly 60 yards with a perfect spiral.
Though he wasn't the biggest athlete, he had alot of grit
and was a very tough competitor.
Sincerely,
Tim "Tater" Munn

All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. We wish you peace and comfort in God's speed.
Yes, Peter enjoyed golf - so much - that he - among a few of his high school buddies - slipped into the golf course pond and snatched as many golf balls which were stuck in the depths of those muddy waters - without wasting a breath - until we heard Bud in the distance and he didn't sound happy - which wasn't unusual. So, grab your clothes and certainly all those muddy golf balls - and make mad dash for the woods behind the old paper mill. The hole in the fence was convenient. The good ole days!
Wishing all of you lots of love and many laughs.

Growing up in the small town of Dansville was a wonderful experience. Everyone knew everybody, school and extra-curricular activities like sports, band and parties are among my fondest memories. Pete Conklin was one of those guys that everyone knew and admired from his high school days through adulthood. He had an infectious personality, always made time for a chat and loved to have a good time. Pete meant a lot to so many; that’s the measure of living a fulfilled life. Your family, friend and acquaintances will miss you, Peter. RIP❤️ Rhonda Burger Matthews

As a kid growing up in Dansville, there were certain guys you looked up to. Pete Conklin was one of those guys for me. From the days of watching Big Dick's softball and then going to those crazy parties after each game, I was drawn to "The Conk". He was a fantastic athlete, he loved music, he had a great sense of humor and a playful nature. He was never "too big" or "too cool" to include me and my friends in the fun. I loved that about Pete. We could talk about sports and music just the same and there was usually a cocktail or 2 involved. From golfing at Brae Burn to our days at Bills games, we became good friends. Conk was like an older brother that I never had.
Just like the garage door to his house that is symbolically always open, Peter Conklin was a welcoming, loving person. He was passionate about whatever he was involved in at the time and he had a bigger than life appreciation and joy for the things and the people he loved.
I will miss you Conk. The golf tournament and tailgate that bears your name will continue to live up to your standard of excellence. It makes me smile to think of you and Jack together again. So, I'll put some Los Lonely Boys on the stereo and will crank it up for ya. I know you'll be dancing.
Love ya brother.

"A Cool Breeze on a hot afternoon" that was and still is what we would say about our friend Pete. Knowing him for most of my life he was an incredibly generous man. He would say "what do ya need Vern" and he would be there! We will truly miss his smile, his laugh and his Crazy sense of humor! Lorri & I send our condolences to the family at this difficult time you are in our thoughts and prayers. A tidbit to remember... When ever you are in the hot sun and a COOL BREEZE hits you in the face its Pete just saying hello! Bill & Lorri Welch
