Obituary of Theresa Shull

Dansville- Theresa C. Shull age 91, passed away early Wednesday morning June 3, 2020 at the home of her daughters Deb and Dawn. She was born in Dansville on October 18, 1928, a daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (McGuigan) Cox. On August 11, 1951 she was married to Bud Shull, who predeceased her in 2010. She was also predeceased by fifteen siblings, John, James, Joseph, Walter, Vincent, Vernon, Richard, Donald, Robert, Philip, and Mary Doris Cox, Ruth Long, Katherine Lamb, Mary Flickner, and Rita Fannaro, and a granddaughter Jaime Lynn Chapman. Theresa was a former telephone operator for Rochester Telephone in Dansville. She was employed by the Dansville Police Department as the crossing guard at the corner of Main and Clara Barton Streets, and was a former Meter Maid. She had also worked at the Dansville Central School in the cafeteria, a foster grandparent, and the mail carrier. She was a communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Mary’s Church in Dansville. She was member of the Dansville Lioness Club and sang in the Lions Club Minstrel Show Chorus for many years. She was also a member of the choir at St. Mary’s Church and the Waylandairs choir group. She is survived by her daughters Debra (Aaron) Wilcox and Dawn Chapman both of Dansville. Thomas (Natacia) Schledorn, Shawn Schledorn, Bryan Chapman, Cory (Melissa) Chapman, great-grandchildren Ashlyn and Hayden Schledorn and Chase Chapman, and many nieces and nephews.
