Obituary of Jody Ann Purdy

Naples- Jody Ann Purdy, age 58, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening July 8th, at Strong Memorial Hospital after a valiant fight with cancer. Jody was born in Rochester on January 30, 1962, a daughter of the late Ward and Barbara Taylor. On July 29, 2004 she was married to David Lee Purdy who predeceased her in 2011. She was also predeceased by Connie Bishop, Donald, and Darrel Taylor. Jody worked as a sleep study technician for Sleep Insight in Rochester. She was a truly kind soul and an inspiration to all that she met. No matter what she was going through, she always thought of others well-being. Her favorite activity was taking her dog Lulu for walks in stony brook park. She always had a smile on her face and lit up a room with her presence. Jody is survived by her children, Robert, and Karen Purdy, her dog Lulu, and her cat Evie, several brothers, and sisters. A celebration of life is postponed for a later date.
