Dansville- Harold K. Dean age 91, passed away Sunday afternoon August 9, 2020, at Livingston County CFNR in Mt. Morris following an illness.
He was born in Fayette, NY. on May 11, 1929, a son of the late Floyd and Sarah (Witman) Dean. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Elizabeth VanAmburg, and Clifford Dean, his stepson, Gary Parker. On August 15, 2008 he was married to Gail (Root) Dean who survives.
Harold was a twenty year plus veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the AM Vets and the Daniel Goho Post #87 of the American Legion of Dansville.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Gail are his niece and nephew, Cindy Your, and Kenneth VanAmburg, his stepsons, Darrin Parker, Larry Parker, and Karl Parker, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, also several family members and friends from Florida.
Services will be private. Harold will be interred in Bath National Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St. Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
