Obituary of Mae A. Taylor

Dansville- Mae A. Taylor age 85, passed away early Thursday morning October 29, 2020, at the Livingston County CNR in Mt. Morris, where she had been a resident for the past several years. She was born in Groveland, on May 10, 1935, a daughter of the late Arthur and Edna (Hughes) Holbrook. She was also predeceased by siblings Alice Mott, Viola Storelli, Nellie Harold, Shirley Greenfield, Jessie Prevorce, Clair Holbrook, Raymond Holbrook, and Charles Holbrook, and a half-brother Edward Fox. Mae was employed as a custodian at SUNY Geneseo for many years. She was a former member of the Loyal Order of The Moose # 1130, and the Dansville Free Methodist Church. Mae's love for family was evident in the way she cared for her husband, all her siblings, children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She is survived by her husband Joseph Taylor, her children, Daniel Dick, James (Shirley) Scarfia,, George (Tammy) Henry, Debra Meade, Dawn Carter, grandchildren, Matthew and Jillian Scarfia, Nicholas Henry, Christopher and Dustin Meade, Kevin and Thomas Lopez, sister, Betty Ketchel. A graveside service will be held Saturday October 31 at 1:00 pm at Greenmount Cemetery in Dansville. Ref. Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville.
