Obituary of William Gene Graves

Dansville- William G. Graves "Digger" age 72, passed away early Tuesday morning February 16, 2021, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester following an extended illness. He was born in Buffalo on December 18, 1948, a son of the late Carl and Ruth (Lathrop) Graves. He was also predeceased by an infant daughter Tina Graves, and a brother Robbie Graves. Bill was a developmental aid for Finger Lakes DDSO for 38 years. He also was a delivery driver for Genesee Valley Ford. He enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling, camping, the Buffalo Bills and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife the former Caroleen Presler Graves, two daughters, Tammy Lafaye and Crystal (Shawn) Quinlan, and a son Randy Graves. Siblings, Dave (Janna) Shain, Gary Tyson and Andrea (Bernard) Davis, grandchildren, Taylor, Shayna, Breigh, Nathan, Irish, Jett, Ivy, many nieces, and nephews. Friends may call from 9:00 am to 12:00pm on Saturday February 20, at the Dansville Four Square Church, a Memorial Service to follow at 12:00pm. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cancer Comfort Bags Project, PO Box 284, Dansville, NY 14437. Mandatory social distancing, facial covering, and no physical contact policies will be in effect at Foursquare Church.
