Obituary of Shane Matthew Kelly

Springwater- Shane Matthew Kelly age 50 passed away unexpectedly Thursday November 25, 2021, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after being stricken the day before. He was born in Batavia on July 13, 1971, a son of the late Charles and Ruth (Harkness) Kelly. He was also predeceased by a sister, Ruth "Peggy" Daniels and a brother Patrick Kelly in June of this year. Shane was the batch plant operator at Spallina Materials in Mt. Morris. Shane was a talented musician and enjoyed hunting and time spent with his family and friends, especially his grandbabies. In his younger days, he was active in wrestling, football, Cub Scouts, and baseball. He loved to raise cane with his brother and friends on Feeley Road in the streets of Caledonia. He was a jokester at home and loved to mess with his siblings and especially his father. He is survived by a daughter Rachel (Matthew Fisher) Kelly, grandchildren Justus Osterhout and Rylan Kelly, sisters, Vickey (Dan) Maynard of Fremont Ohio, Rebecca (David Goodband) Kelly of Holley, several nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call Thursday December 2, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Foursquare Church 49 West Ave in Dansville. Where Shane was an active member and musician, a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at the Church. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville.
