Obituary of David W. Whiteman

Dansville- David W. Whiteman age 79, passed away Tuesday October 31, 2023, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville following a long illness. He was born in Dansville on February 21, 1944, a son of the late Vincent and Evelyn (VanHooser) Whiteman. He was predeceased by a son, David Cyganovich. On September 28, 1985, he was married to Sheri Lewis Whiteman who survives. Dave was a member of Phoenix Lodge # 115 of the F&AM where he was also Past Master, Secretary, Chaplin and Treasurer. He attended the Grace Baptist Church in Dansville. In his free time, he enjoyed deer hunting. Surviving in addition to his wife Sheri are a daughter Sherri (Craig) Gerber, two sons David Todd (Tammie) Whiteman and Sean Cyganovich; grandchildren, Brianna (Dakota) Collins, Alexzandra (Nathan Saad) Whiteman, Arron (Claire Swain) Gerber, Arrik (Bailey Parbsslawson) Gerber, Arryl Gerber and Abrielle Cyganovich, and a great-grandson Ryker Collins, a sister Connie (Harold) Mattle and a brother Larry (Bonnie) Whiteman, sister in-law Betty Jean (Ron ) Thomas, brother in-laws Terry (Rene) Lewis, Rick (Cathy) Lewis, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday November 10 from 4 to 6 pm at the Grace Baptist Church where services will be held at 6:00 pm. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville.
